Bryan came to yoga through an interest in eastern philosophy and was deeply influenced by the works of Jiddu Krishnamurti. It was only after his first public asana class with Lois Steinberg in 2002 that he became a regular Iyengar practioner and saw the importance that asana played in his search.
An attendee of the 500 hour teacher training program at the Iyengar Institute of San Francisco and certified relax and renew instructor, Bryan is currently exploring the use of Samadhi floatation tanks ( what he like to call "the ultimate prop") in conjunction with these interests in order to come to a more complete practice of all the eight limbs of yoga as laid out by Patanjali albeit in a modern context. He currently studies and apprentices with Joe Naudzunas in addition to to taking classes and workshops with senior teachers in the Iyengar tradition whenever he can.
