Ann Dennehy

Restorative Yoga allows for the arising of inspiration, ease and joy. Ann's dedication to Restorative Yoga is grounded in her commitment to Buddhism and her daily meditation and hatha practice. A yoga student since 1987, Ann became certified to teach in 2000 through The Integral Yoga Institute. Her teaching is anchored in this mindful approach to asana, and draws from other yoga traditions as well. Her years of training in dance and martial arts, and her life-long passion for language-learning and clear communication also inform her teaching practice. Ann regularly leads hatha yoga on Buddhist retreats in both The United States and The U.K. She offers seasonal Restorative Practice workshops and private yoga instruction at The San Francisco Buddhist Center. "Therefore remember that the practices of hatha yoga, asana, and pranayama are ultimately intended for developing the quality of human consciousness, not just the body." -Hatha Yoga Pradipika
